Family Circles

The goal of Family Circles is to allow users to be able to create their own family trees easily then view, share, and explore them at a later date. They will look something like this when all is said and done.

The following is a recommended outline of how to get started:

  1. Learn how to interact with models (3 min)

    2. Go to the Viewer page

    1. Open the video in a new page and begin playing
    2. Follow along with the video in another page and interact with the viewer as outlined

    At the end of this you should be comfortable interacting with the models presented in any of the Family Circles applications.

  2. Create your own family model (14 min)

    3. Go to the Builder page

    1. Open the video in a new page and begin playing
    2. Follow along with the video in another page and interact with the builder but fill in your own family information

    At the end of this you should have your own Family Circles json file for your personal family.

  3. Explore an existing service (5 min)

    4. Go to the Explorer page

    1. Open the video in a new page and begin playing
    2. Follow along with the video in another page and interact with the explorer

    At the end of this you should now be comfortable exploring data available from any services.
